Plenty of students do not struggle with the subject. They struggle with the wall of text, the noise, the pressure or the getting started. That is the group this is designed around.
What you can turn on
- Easier reading: wider letter and word spacing, taller lines and larger text. Spacing, not a novelty font, is what the evidence supports.
- Calm mode: no movement, no decorative pictures, plain surfaces. Helpful for distraction, migraine and motion sensitivity.
- Big buttons: larger tap targets throughout.
- Read aloud: a listen button on every coach message, using the voice already in your browser. The text never leaves your device to be spoken.
- Dark or light mode, or follow the device.
Built in, not bolted on
- One instruction at a time. The coach is instructed to give a single concrete step, never a list of tasks.
- No time pressure anywhere. Nothing counts down, nothing expires.
- No shame for being late. Overdue work is marked clearly and never scolded.
- Three free rest days a week, so a missed day does not undo a month.
- Voice capture, so writing it down is never the barrier to saving it.
- Full keyboard navigation, visible focus outlines, and labels written for screen readers.
- Reduced motion is honoured automatically if your device asks for it.
- Subject colours are paired with words and symbols, never colour alone.
